Harbour Photos

February 20th, 2006

I’ve had limited access to the web recently, but here’s a selection of photos I took at the harbour last week when the QE2 sailed out:

View from the concourse:

View from The Rocks on other other side of the harbour:

Harbour Bridge:

Back view of the CBD from the Opera House:

Docked QE2 before departing:

QE2 being pulled out by the tug boats with the bridge behind. The ship pretty much engulfed the whole view as it sailed past.

Patriotic passenger. I like this one:

Back of the ship as it sailed out of the harbour:

Hows the attack on the insect inhabitants of your room? met any funnel webs yet, they come out in the humidity!!

    Fooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop!!!

    It was fooping cool!

Yeah the insects are all gone – the ants have all dissapeared somewhere (I don’t want to know) and the dirty beetle that got in evaded capture twice, but I ultimately won that contest. I caught the ’skeeter that had bitten me on the sole of my foot too, and left him in a trap to die. Mwuhahaha.

best not be any insect inhabitants when i arrive

As an update, the dead ’skeeter that I forgot to dispose of attracted some ants (those fellas are persistant) and had its head ripped off and body carried away to some unknown location. The ants are now gone again. I think they’re maybe invisible ants?

Its the spiders with necks that scare me! ask Dave!
